Intergraph® Quality Management System Receives ISO 9001:2008 Recertification
Certificate covers Process, Power & Marine Global Support and Quality Assurance group and Security, Government & Infrastructure Product Development and Customer Support
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Intergraph® Quality Management System (QMS) has been recertified for ISO 9001:2008 and TickIT (Issue 5.5) compliance by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. The comprehensive recertification audit, performed every three years, was successfully completed in 2012 with no non-conformances.
The certificate covers Intergraph Process, Power & Marine's Global Support and Quality Assurance group and Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure's Product Development and Customer Support. Process, Power & Marine Development also in 2012 successfully began ISO certification efforts starting with Information Management and SmartPlant® Construction.
Intergraph Government Solutions (IGS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Intergraph that serves the company's U.S. federal customer base, is covered by a separate certificate.
ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where a company needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. ISO 9001:2008 requirements are generic and applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and product provided.
The Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance audit report stated, "The QMS continues to be effectively applied throughout Intergraph Corporation. It exhibits a strong commitment to both quality products and services and continual improvement by management and the employees working within the system.
"Proper quality objectives have been established and are regularly measured and reviewed. Customer satisfaction remains at a high level. The QMS is supported by an effective internal audit process."
