Intergraph® Releases CAESAR II® Software for Pipe Stress Analysis to Comply with Stringent ASME NQA-1 Standard for Nuclear Industry

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Intergraph^® has released CAESAR II^® Nuclear, a new version of the world's most trusted software for pipe stress analysis that has been through a Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) process. The software now complies with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) NQA-1 2008/09 quality assurance (QA) standards required for nuclear facility design as endorsed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for use in reactors, material, waste and security.

The ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance (QA) standard is recognized worldwide as a rigorous safety standard for nuclear applications, focused on preventing defects before release. The new software product launched, CAESAR II Nuclear boasts additional features over CAESAR II software allowing for its direct adoption in nuclear sector for new facilities. These features include:

• Commercially dedicated using the new ASME NQA-1-2012 Subpart 3.2-214 section.  This assures the product has passed critical acceptance tests, analyses and inspections, as well as performance requirements, characteristics, and vendor history.
