HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mechanical and Construction division of PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC-M&C), a leading provider of diversified technical services to the oil and gas industry, has leveraged Intergraph® SmartPlant® Enterprise Core to successfully implement a new Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Having worked on some of Vietnam's largest and most complex oil and gas projects, PTSC-M&C found that the effective management and control of thousands of documents across a project lifecycle was a significant challenge – especially when multiple departments and potentially hundreds of personnel were involved. In 2013, the company began the search for a new EDMS and selected Intergraph to provide the solution after an extensive evaluation period that involved multiple vendors.
Intergraph worked in conjunction with local distributor and partner, True Technology, to implement the new EDMS, which is used to manage project documents by making use of pre-configured work processes, allowing PTSC-M&C's project to team to effectively monitor, control, track and respond to document control needs.
