The competition was open to all Chicago-area business communicators who completed a significant project in 2012 that embodied excellence in one of 27 categories across three divisions: communication management, communication skills and creative. The Bronze Quill Awards recognize communications professionals for their excellence in developing and executing business communication programs. Winning entries feature clear objectives supporting the organization's goals, creative communication strategies and effective, measurable results.
"Bronze Quill entries are judged by seasoned IABC professionals from other U.S. chapters, based on stringent standards set by the leading global business communications professional organization," said Alex Mitchell, Director of Awards for IABC/Chicago. "The 2013 winners combined creativity and sound business strategy to influence a company's goals, as well as its bottom line."
In addition to saluting this year's winners, IABC/Chicago also honored Margaret (Peg) Wander with the 2013 Karen Utterback Award winner for her years of valuable contributions to the chapter as a volunteer.
