International Intellectual Property Rights Granted to N-Viro

Recycling Organic Waste and Controlled Ignitability

Oct 18, 2010, 06:00 ET from N-Viro International Corporation

TOLEDO, Ohio, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- N-Viro International Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: NVIC) received notice of allowance from the Canadian Patent Office for intellectual property rights filed in 2002.  The international patent for controlling ignitability of organic waste is an integral component in the production of N-Viro Fuel™.  N-Viro International Corporation expects to work with our established Canadian clients as well as others to further N-Viro Fuel™ commercialization in the international marketplace.

This international patent is substantially identical to the Company's U.S. patent for the same method.  The exclusive rights to the method in both countries include the treatment of organic waste, which consist of controlling ignitability, odor control, ease of handling and storage, as well as the controlled burning of organic waste as fuel for power generation.

As stated by Dr. Terry Logan earlier,

"N-Viro's discovery of the thermal stabilizing properties of fine-grained mineral by-products is a key to the company's N-Viro Fuel process for converting waste organics into valuable products.  In addition, the N-Viro thermal drying process is simpler, safer and more reliable than traditional drying of biosolids, for example, because of the thermal stability of volatile organics when mixed with mineral by-products."

Dr. Logan is an expert in environmental conservation and a significant participant in the invention and development of the N-Viro Fuel™ energy system.
