Intersignal Opens Braid Jump Kit for Free Public Testing
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Intersignal today announced the public-testing release of Braid Jump Kit 1.5.3rc2, a WAN and NAT traversal sidecar designed to help Braid nodes communicate securely across real-world network boundaries.
The release follows a successful end-to-end WAN test connecting a macOS sender to a Windows receiver through a public VPS relay. The test completed over TLS 1.3 and confirmed that the transmitted capsule was validated, accepted and stored by the destination before an acknowledgment was returned through the relay.
Braid Jump Kit extends Braid deployments without weakening the receiver's existing validation or fail-closed security model. Its sidecar architecture handles peer discovery and relayed transport while leaving semantic processing and acceptance decisions with the destination's local Braid receiver.
The 1.5.3rc2 release incorporates lessons from WAN testing, including configurable timeout handling and hierarchical defaults designed to accommodate semantic processing without creating races between the receiver, agent and relay.
Free during public testing
Braid Jump Kit is available free for everyone to use and experiment with during its public-testing period. Developers, researchers and early adopters are invited to evaluate the release across different operating systems, network configurations and deployment environments.
Intersignal expects Jump Kit to become a premium offering later because operating reliable public relay infrastructure carries ongoing VPS, bandwidth and maintenance costs. No pricing or commercial launch date has been announced.
Braid 1.5.2 remains the current general Braid release and continues to be available through the existing download options.
Availability
Braid Jump Kit 1.5.3rc2 and its source distribution are available now at:
The release includes both a Python wheel and source archive. Published SHA-256 checksums are provided on the site so users can verify downloaded artifacts.
