NEW ORLEANS, April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Renaissance New Orleans Pere Marquette Hotel has unveiled the newest addition to Bar UnCommon – The Nook. The Nook is an intimate room that is available for private parties and is housed in the established lobby bar at the New Orleans boutique hotel.

The area can accommodate parties consisting of ten to 12 people. Bottle service of various Old New Orleans Rum products can be enjoyed throughout the evening along with a cocktail preparation demonstration so guests can become mixologists for their own group. The room makes a statement with black and white wallpaper and other accessories. Guests of the New Orleans luxury hotel also can utilize a television and plush sofa with pillows.

"This space is very unique and it deserves to be highlighted," stated Frank Zumbo, New Orleans Renaissance Hotels General Manager. "From bachelor and bachelorette parties to date night dinner and a movie, The Nook has the potential to be a destination for locals and visitors alike."

Old New Orleans Rum is based in New Orleans and features four products: Crystal, Amber, Cajun Spice and Ten Year Special Edition, which is aged in oak barrels. The company is owned and operated by artist James Michalopoulos.
