PITTSBURGH, Jan. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "I wanted to create a safe way to operate an ATV in deeper mud and water conditions," said an inventor, from Newbern, Ala., "so I invented the EXHAUST SHUT- OFF VALVE. My design would expand the travel capabilities of an ATV, which could enhance fun and excitement for riders."
The patent-pending invention provides engine protection for an ATV being operated in deeper water and mud conditions. In doing so, it prevents mud and water from rushing in through the exhaust system. As a result, it would intercept the flow to protect and preserve the engine against flooding. Thus, it helps avoid very costly and time-consuming repairs and engine replacements. The invention features a protective design that is easy to use so it is ideal for ATV owners. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the Birmingham sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
