InventHelp Inventor Develops New Irrigation System for Washing a Patient's Hair (RKH-1247)

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "As a surgical assistant, I wanted to create an improved system for washing a patient's hair or scalp in the operating room," said an inventor, from Norfolk, Va., "so I invented the IRRI-Nique (Unique Irrigation System). The patent-pending invention provides a closed irrigation system for washing a patient's hair in the operating room. In doing so, it reduces the risk of infection. As a result, it could reduce the need for a second surgery due to infection. Thus, it could help decrease the length of a patient's hospital stay. The invention features an effective design that is easy to use so it is ideal for hospitals. Additionally, a prototype is available.
