PITTSBURGH, Aug. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "I use a cane, and I thought there could be a more comfortable and easier way to put shoes on when using my cane," said an inventor, from Gravenhurst, ON, Canada, "so I invented the IMPROVE. My lightweight design would not restrict the use of the cane in any way. Additionally, it can work on crutches, and it may be prescribed by doctors."
The patent-pending invention provides an improved way to put shoes on the feet when using a walking cane. In doing so, it ensures a shoe horn is readily available when needed. As a result, it saves time and effort, and it reduces the need for assistance from another person. It also can assist with the removal of shoes and socks. The invention features a lightweight and adjustable design that is easy to use so it is ideal for individuals who use a walking cane. A prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the Toronto sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
