PITTSBURGH, Feb. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "We wanted to create an immediate way to attract attention to potential danger when working on a commercial rooftop in low-light conditions," said one of three inventors, from Fontana, Calif., "so we invented the SOLAR SAFETY CLEAR PATH PYLON. Our design helps the worker avoid any danger, and it could reduce liability for commercial building owners."
The patent-pending invention provides optimum safety for tradesmen when working on rooftops of businesses at night and during daytime operations. In doing so, it eliminates the need to work in low-light conditions on a commercial rooftop. It also would include a day light sensor designed to sound upon approach. As a result, it reduces the risk of tripping/falling hazards, and it increases safety by outlining the path of travel to all emergency exits and egress. The invention features an automatic and weatherproof design that is easy to employ so it is ideal for businesses, schools, factories, stores, etc. Additionally, it offers a data collection feature.
The original design was submitted to the Orange County sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
