Invest in Others Accepting Nominations for 2016 Community Leadership Awards
Awards Recognize Financial Advisors and Firms for Philanthropic Achievement
NEWTON, Mass., Feb. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation is currently accepting nominations for its 2016 Community Leadership Awards. Now in its tenth year, the Community Leadership Awards program recognizes the philanthropic achievements of financial advisors and financial services firms in communities across the country and around the world.
"This is a very special year for us as we celebrate our 10th anniversary," said Megan McAuley, Executive Director and President of Invest in Others. "Since 2006, we've presented 43 awards, partnered with over 125 charities, received thousands of nominations, and donated over $2 million to causes that financial advisors and firms care so much about. We're excited to announce that nominations for 2016 are now open and look forward to receiving more submissions this year than ever before."
Nominations are accepted in the following award categories:
- Catalyst
- Community Service
- Global Community Impact
- Volunteer of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement
- Corporate Philanthropy – RIA Firm
- Corporate Philanthropy – Financial Institution
Hundreds of nominations for the Community Leadership Awards are received each year and reviewed by a diverse panel of leaders in the financial services industry. Invest in Others will make donations of up to $25,000 to the designated non-profits of award finalists and winners.
Winners will be announced at the tenth annual Community Leadership Awards Gala, scheduled for Thursday, September 29, 2016 in New York City. Top sponsors of the event include Fidelity Investments, LPL Financial and Nuveen Investments.
