Investor and Adviser Don Hutchison Joins the AVRS Board
PETALUMA, Calif., Nov. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Robert Rieger, CEO and founder of AVRS, Inc. and Rick Francis, CTO and co-founder announced the appointment of Don Hutchison to the AVRS board of directors.
Mr. Hutchison is a 30-year veteran with extensive investor and adviser experience with technology startups and public companies. He also served on the executive team of NetCom Communications, Inc., a pioneering Internet service provider (ISP) founded by Bob Rieger and the first pure-play Internet company to go public.
"Don's adviser and investing experience will help AVRS to grow and expand at a much faster rate than we are already experiencing," Rieger stated. Mr. Hutchison previously served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for NetCom and was responsible for growing revenue from $2 million to more than $120 million within three years. He went on to leadership roles as general manager, CEO and COB at companies including @Home (later Excite@Home), Work.com and Recurrent Energy.
Don is currently an investor and adviser in and with a number of companies ranging from data and analytics to customer relationship management software. He has an extensive investor network in Silicon Valley and collaborates with technology founders and venture firms to develop and rapidly grow new technologies. Don has participated as a principal, adviser, investor or board member in six IPO's and a number of portfolio company acquisitions.
