Autodesk, Inc. Analyst Notes
On June 9, 2014, Autodesk, Inc. (Autodesk) announced the acquisition of Stockholm-based Bitsquid AB - the creator of Bitsquid game engine - bringing to Autodesk expertise in 3D game development, enabling it to supercharge its portfolio of tools for game makers through the development of a new 3D game engine. Infosys Ltd. Analyst Notes
On June 12, 2014, Infosys Ltd. (Infosys) announced the selection of Dr. Vishal Sikka as the CEO and Managing Director of the Company, as well as elevated U.B. Pravin Rao, President and whole-time director, as Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Sikka will be inducted as a whole-time director of the Board and CEO & Managing Director (Designate) on June 14, 2014, but will take over as CEO & Managing Director from S.D. Shibulal on August 1, 2014. However, Rao's appointment will take effect from June 14, 2014. The Board also announced the following changes, under which N.R. Narayana Murthy and S. Gopalakrishnan will voluntarily step down as Executive Chairman and Executive Vice Chairman, respectively, on June 14, 2014. Both will continue to be part of the Board till October 10, 2014 as Non-Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Vice Chairman, respectively. K.V. Kamath will become the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board from October 11, 2014. Meanwhile, Murthy will be elevated to Chairman Emeritus effective October 11, 2014, while S.D. (Gartner) as a Leader in its "Magic Quadrant for Property and Casualty Insurance Claims Management Modules," based on its ability to execute axis and furthest on its completeness of vision axis in the report.
