IPO Education Foundation Announces 2013 IP Video Contest Finalists

WASHINGTON, Aug. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation has announced the finalists in its 2013 IP Video Contest.  The finalists' videos are posted on the contest website (www.ipvideocontest.com) for public voting. Visit the contest website, view the finalists' videos, and cast a vote! The deadline to vote for winners is August 15, 2013.  The public will determine one winner in the two younger categories and the second winner will be selected by the Foundation Board of Directors. New this Year- the winner of the 19 years and over category will be chosen solely by public voting!

Now in its third year, the video contest was created to educate teens and the public at large about the importance of the patent system.  Contestants are competing in three age categories (thirteen to fifteen years old; sixteen to eighteen years old; nineteen years and over) for $5,000 in cash prizes or scholarships. 

The Foundation's mission is to broaden the public's understanding and appreciation of systems for the development, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
