SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- According to Adobe's Digital Index forecast, Cyber Monday spending in the US is expected to reach $3 billion this year, which will be a 12 percent increase over 2014, making it the largest online shopping day in history. In addition online sales for Black Friday are expected to come close at $2.7 billion and online Thanksgiving Day sales are forecasted for $1.6 billion. Both are double digit increases over 2014 of 15 and 18 percent respectively.

But US shoppers are not alone in hunting for online bargains over the US Thanksgiving holiday. In 2014, Black Friday was the more popular online shopping day in the UK with £810 million spent overshadowing the estimated £720 million spent on Cyber Monday.  According to IMRG (UK's industry association for e-retail), UK retail websites received a combined total of 181 million visits on Black Friday in 2014.
