Isomeric Industries Inc. Acquires Big Spring Rail Systems to Advance Industrial Development in Big Spring, Texas

BIG SPRING, Texas, Oct. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Isomeric Industries Inc., a leading supplier of oilfield chemicals throughout the United States, today announced the acquisition of Big Spring Rail Systems, Inc., effective September 15, 2025.

Big Spring Rail Systems currently maintains and operates approximately 8.0 miles of rail line in Howard County, Texas, under trackage owned by the City of Big Spring. Formerly headquartered in Texas and Pennsylvania, the company will be relocating its operations to Big Spring, TX. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Chris Harken, President of Isomeric Industries, described the acquisition as a strategic move that aligns with the company's long-term growth objectives. "This acquisition will allow Isomeric to reduce raw material costs through improved logistics, while also paving the way for broader industrial development in the region," said Harken.

As part of the transaction, Isomeric Industries has formed a new subsidiary, Isomeric Development Corporation, which will oversee the development of approximately 500 acres of industrial property located adjacent to the Big Spring Airport. The development is intended to attract both domestic and international companies seeking access to efficient rail infrastructure.

Mike Feeley, Airport Director for the City of Big Spring, played a key role in shaping the vision for the airport area and expressed excitement about the project's potential. "This acquisition marks a turning point for the economic future of Big Spring," Feeley said.
