
Israeli Cleantech Companies to Present Innovative Solutions in California
Ten Israeli companies selected to meet with California's Cleantech Giants April 26-28
SAN FRANCISCO, April 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) announced today that 10 Israeli Clean Technology companies have been chosen to participate in a delegation to meet with industry leaders, investment firms, policymakers and utility giants from April 26-28 in Silicon Valley, California. A highlight of the program is The Israel Cleantech Showcase, scheduled for April 27. It will be a full day of presentations by the delegation companies and cleantech industry thought leaders. CEOs of the selected Israeli companies will engage with an entire ecosystem of cleantech leaders in California to facilitate channel and technology collaboration and investment.
Arnold Goldman, Chairman and Founder of BrightSource Energy, Inc, will be a keynote the three-day event. The CICC, a non-profit, industry supported organization, launched its cleantech initiative in 2008 to accelerate cooperation among companies and investors in the two states. This effort builds on the CICC's proven model of success in creating unique partnership opportunities in a variety of technology sectors including software, semiconductors, the Internet and telecommunications. Building on this technology base, Israel currently has over 500 emerging cleantech companies and a broad range of advanced research institutions.
The key leaders that have been supporting the CICC Cleantech Initiative include: BrightSource Energy, GE Energy, Perkins Coie LLP, PG&E, Tigo Energy, and as well as policymakers such as the California Public Utilities Commission and the U.S. Department of Energy. Also supporting the program are investment firms such as Battery Ventures, CMEA Capital, Greylock Partners, Israel Cleantech Ventures, Jefferies & Company, Inc., Musea Ventures, Silicon Valley Bank, U.S. Venture Partners, Vantage Point Venture Partners (VPVP) and Virgin Green Fund. Among the successes of the most recent Cleantech Tour is Tigo Energy. Their participation led to direct investments and partnerships with leading California energy producers.

An open showcase for cleantech players, investors, utility giants, policymakers and industry press will take place April 27 at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), 3333 Coyote Hill Road, in Palo Alto.
