IT Asset Management Group Announces Responsible Recycling (R2) Certification

FARMINGDALE, N.Y., April 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- IT Asset Management Group (ITAMG) has recently received Responsible Recycling (R2) Rev. 7/2013, OHSAS 18001:2007, and ISO 14001:2004 certifications for their electronics recycling, refurbishment, and data destruction plant in Farmingdale, New York. 

ITAMG provides IT asset disposition, hard drive shredding, and computer liquidation services to businesses that are replacing systems, relocating, or otherwise have surplus equipment in need of secure and environmentally conscious disposal.

The latest Responsible Recycling (R2) Rev. 7/2013 includes strict requirements for data destruction processes and verifications as well as OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications to ensure employee safety.  The R2 Standard also includes a requirement for ISO 14001:2004 certification which stresses documentation and implementation of processes, operational procedures and environmental management systems.
