DOSWELL, Va., Aug. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Something scary is creeping into Doswell. It's sinister, bigger, badder and it's not for the faint of heart. Halloween Haunt is returning to Kings Dominion this fall starting Saturday, September 25, 2010.
Beginning Sept. 25, as dusk settles over cheery grounds of Kings Dominion, the atmos-fear will change completely as the Overlord and his minions take over the Park and shrieks, screams and scares signal that Haunt has come to life. Complete with three new mazes, for a frightful total of nine mazes, five scare zones and more monsters and creepers than ever before, Kings Dominion's Haunt is the Mid-Atlantic's PREMIER Halloween-themed event. Haunt will take place on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 31, 2010.
Highlighting Haunt activities are the park's nine haunted mazes. NEW for 2010; The Doll Factory, The Asylum and Camp Killauee, each guaranteed to cause chills and fears, conjured up from your worst nightmares. With new monsters, new venues and new themes – Haunt has 'opened the gates' and will touch everyone's darkest fears.
The fear is not just contained in the park's haunted mazes. During Haunt, brave guests must venture through five terrifying scare zones and five thrilling shows that are sure to raise the un-dead!
And don't forget – guests can ride their favorite Kings Dominion attractions… in the darkest dead of night.
Haunt shows and attractions are free with general park admission or with a valid 2010 Season Pass. Nighttime Haunt attractions are rated PG-13 and NOT appropriate for all ages. Howl-o-Fest attractions for the little ghouls are from 12 noon – 5pm on Sat. and Sun. beginning Oct. 2, 2010. Halloween Haunt begins on Sat., Sept. 25 and continues Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 31. Haunt mazes and attractions begin to open at 6pm and children's areas and activities close Saturdays and Sundays at 5pm. KidZville and Planet Snoopy are not open on Friday evenings and close at 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
