Iylon Precision Oncology, LLC Appoints Dr. Mary Lopresti as Chief Medical Officer
Experienced medical oncologist to advance Iylon's precision oncology services
PROVIDENCE, R.I., Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Iylon, a precision oncology company helping physicians and their patients navigate complex cancer-treatment options, today announced the appointment of Mary Lopresti, D.O., as Chief Medical Officer. She will also provide her CMO services to the company's charitable Iylon Foundation.
Dr. Lopresti is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with extensive experience in cancer care, clinical research, survivorship, and breast oncology. As Chief Medical Officer, she will provide clinical leadership, guide Iylon's medical records and genomic data review process, and support the continued expansion of Iylon's network of oncology expert advisors.
"Dr. Lopresti brings an exceptional combination of clinical expertise, compassion, and commitment to her work," said John A. Tarantino, Chief Executive Officer of Iylon. "Her leadership will help ensure that Iylon provides thoughtful, timely, and clinically meaningful recommendations to treating physicians and their patients. We are honored to welcome her as our Chief Medical Officer."
Iylon provides independent, multidisciplinary reviews of complex cancer cases, integrating clinical oncology expertise with molecular and scientific insight. Specialists assess treatment history, pathology, imaging, and biomarker/genomic findings to identify evidence-informed considerations. Reports give treating physicians an additional resource for patient discussions and individualized care planning.
"Mary understands that precision oncology is not simply about identifying a mutation or recommending a drug," said Sendurai A. Mani, Ph.D., Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Iylon. "It requires integrating the patient's clinical history, tumor biology, molecular information, and individual needs. Her clinical judgment and experience will be invaluable as we expand our services and help more physicians whose patients face difficult cancer diagnoses."
"I am honored to join Iylon and contribute to its mission of making world-class oncology expertise more accessible," said Dr. Lopresti. "I look forward to working with Iylon's clinical and scientific leaders to provide physicians and their patients with personalized, evidence-based, and actionable recommendations."
