Jacob Jensen Design signs Memorandum of Understanding with China Zhonghua Geotechnical Engineering Group
BEIJING, Sept. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed in the 751D - PARK Art District, host of this year's Beijing Design Week, between Jacob Jensen Design, the internationally acclaimed Danish design firm, and China Zhonghua Geotechnical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CGE). Both companies have concluded their shared intentions to reach a cooperation in the months to come within the fields of urban space design and planning, industrial design, art and education. Both parties seek to strengthen China's design innovation and creative urban planning sectors while cultivating the nation's talent. The ceremony was witnessed by His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark, Mr. Liang Fuhua, CEO of CGE Group, Mr. Timothy Jacob Jensen, CEO and Chief Designer of Jacob Jensen Design, and Mr. Zhan Qing, District Mayor of the People's Government of Qingyang District in Chengdu.

Jacob Jensen Design was first established in Denmark in 1958. With its recognizable minimalistic design and long lasting global appeal, Jacob Jensen Design has grown to be Scandinavia's most award-winning design consultancy. Its founder, Jacob Jensen, was the first person in Danish history to be formally educated in industrial design. During the same event a tripartite framework agreement was signed between the Qingyang District Government of Chengdu, CGE and JJD. In the near future, the three parties intend to combine their resources to build a China Design Center in Chengdu.
