James Franco to Photograph & Direct 7 For All Mankind's Spring 2012 Ad Campaign
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- 7 For All Mankind, the world's premiere brand of denim-lifestyle products, has hired James Franco to photograph and direct its upcoming multimedia spring campaign. This is Franco's first time working for the brand, and also marks his first time shooting an advertising campaign. The images will debut in March magazines, with the video portion of the campaign to go up online around the same time.
"We want to tell our story about our California roots and James Franco so embodies the ideals of California," said 7 For All Mankind's President Barry Miguel in an interview in Women's Wear Daily. "He was born and raised and California and he encapsulates that idea of freedom of expression and being modern in California."
"For me, it's an excuse to be creative. It's about having the opportunity to be creative in a new way," said Franco to Women's Wear Daily.
Lead by Lipman, the brand's creative agency, the campaign will be shot in Los Angeles in December and will feature a cast including both celebrities and models. The cast will portray a free-spirited and glamorous California lifestyle. It will emphasize a narrative approach that will develop out the 7 For All Mankind brand story.
