DURHAM, N.C., Sept. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin is supporting the Durham County Bar Association's "Raising the Bar" charity 5K. This event is scheduled for September 29th at 8:30 a.m.

The 5K route winds through the historic American Tobacco Trail. The event benefits the Durham Crisis Response Center, which provides shelter and support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in greater Durham.

Giving back is ingrained in the Farrin culture, which promotes volunteerism and provides dozens of opportunities for it. David Chamberlin, the firm's Vice President, has described this commitment as "part of the firm's very marrow."

Fitness and fun is also important to the firm. Several years ago, the firm organized a "Farrin Fit" club. To help motivate and inspire employees to become more mindful of their health and fitness, the firm gave a generous financial contribution to any employee who wanted to purchase a Fitbit.
