Her experience improving worldwide supply chain architectures, reducing material costs and inventory, identifying risks and establishing risk prevention / management programs has improved flexibility and responsiveness for her clients.  She builds on expertise gained from managing domestic / international suppliers for companies delivering products and services worldwide.

She received her BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri, and an MBA from San Diego State University. Tierney went on to earn a Green Belt from the University of Michigan. She is a Certified Professional in both Supplier Diversity (CPSD), and Supply Management (CPSM) through the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) —for which she serves as Chairperson of the Supplier Management Group and President of the ISM-Los Angeles Affiliate. Tierney is also recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Supply Chain Management.

Tierney is an adjunct professor at both the Fullerton and Northridge campuses of California State University and recently joined the Operations and Supply Chain Advisory Board at California State University Long Beach (CSU-LB).
