Janus Henderson appoints Michael C. Ho, PhD as Global Head of Multi-Asset and Alternatives
LONDON and DENVER, Dec. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Janus Henderson Investors (NYSE: JHG, ASX: JHG) announced today the appointment of Michael C. Ho, Ph.D., as Global Head of Multi-Asset and Alternatives, effective 14 January 2019. Michael will be responsible for and oversee the firm's Asset Allocation, Multi-Strategy and Alternatives teams worldwide. He will be a member of the Executive Committee at Janus Henderson Investors and based in London.

Michael has extensive industry experience. He was most recently the Chief Investment Officer of Investment Solutions at UBS Asset Management in London. From 2012 to 2017, Michael was Chief Investment Officer for Alternatives, Global Macro and Active Emerging Market Equities, Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at State Street Global Advisors. Prior to State Street, Michael spent 10 years during two different time periods at Mellon Capital Management managing various investment teams, and was Chief Investment Officer for the firm. Michael's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and a M.S. degree in Management Science and Engineering with a focus on Finance from Stanford University, in addition to a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California-Los Angeles. Michael has more than 25 years of financial industry experience.
The Multi-Asset and Alternatives Team at Janus Henderson is a focus for the firm as we continue to build and further strengthen these capabilities. Michael, as Global Head of Multi-Asset and Alternatives, will have the following direct reports: Ash Alankar, Head of Global Asset Allocation Investments; David Elms, Head of Diversified Alternatives; Paul O'Connor, Head of Multi-Asset UK.
The growing investment teams who make up the firm's Multi-Asset and Alternative capabilities include more than 35 investment professional and research team members.
