Jay Lang Appointed President Of Charkit Chemical
The promotion of Mr. Lang from his role as Charkit Executive Vice President signifies a continuation of the company's successful growth strategies
NORWALK, Conn., Feb. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Charles Hinnant, CEO of LBB Specialties, announced that effective immediately, Jay Lang has accepted the role of President, Charkit Chemical Company of Norwalk, CT, a subsidiary of LBB Specialties LLC.
Mr. Lang succeeds Mr. Hinnant, the company's Founder, as Charkit's President. In this role, Jay will lead all aspects of the Charkit organization, including the Sales, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, and Administration functions. Jay will be tasked with driving revenue and gross profit growth, managing Charkit's operating functions and improving the efficiency of working capital. Jay will report directly to Mr. Hinnant.

With more than two decades of experience at Charkit, Mr. Lang has been a key figure in the company's growth, most notably in the area of personal care. His career at Charkit has touched numerous roles ranging from key account management to marketing strategy to raw materials management. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and a member of the company's Senior Management Team, directing the company's organizational evolution while guiding the vision of an entrepreneurial, client-centric, collaborative and fast-paced sales force.
Mr. Lang graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Organizational Communication. He has participated in leadership and executive education programs at both the Harvard Business School and Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
