Race car driver turned author Han Han, Nobel Laureate Mo Yan and journalist Chai Jing topped the list, which looked at sales of Chinese language books published in the last five years.

JD.com Global, which officially launched in October 2012 and has a catalogue of more than 600,000 Chinese language books that ship to markets around the world, also released sales rankings for Chinese editions of books written by foreign authors. Columbian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez, who won the 1982 Nobel Prize in Literature, beat out Japanese author Haruki Murakami and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling among Chinese consumers abroad.
