Jennifer Geoghegan Named The Colony Group's Chief Marketing Officer & Advisor Coach

BOSTON and NEW YORK, March 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Jennifer Geoghegan has joined The Colony Group, LLC as the firm's first Chief Marketing Officer and Advisor Coach. Ms. Geoghegan is tasked with turbo-charging The Colony Group's growth efforts across its offices in Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, and Florida. This announcement comes on the heels of The Colony Group announcing its merger with CapGroup Advisors, based in Richmond, VA, bringing the firm to over $5 billion in assets under management.

Prior to joining Colony, Jennifer spent over seven years as the VP of Marketing and Advisor Coach at Focus Financial Partners, LLC, the leading partnership of independent wealth management firms, which Colony joined in October, 2011. While at Focus, Jennifer worked closely with its Partner firms, including Colony, on growth strategies, coached teams of advisors as they transitioned to newly formed firms through the Focus Connections program, and launched Focus Coaching University, a group coaching program for wealth management advisors. Jennifer spent nine years at American Express and has an MBA in marketing and international business from the NYU Stern School of Business, a BA from the University of Virginia, and an Executive Coaching Certification from Columbia University.
