Jewish National Fund-USA to Livestream 9/11 Ceremony Honoring Victims and First Responders

NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. EDT/8 a.m. PDT, Jewish National Fund-USA will livestream its annual 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony from the 9/11 Living Memorial in Jerusalem to tens of thousands of Americans via its Facebook and YouTube channels.  

The moving ceremony will unite U.S. and Israeli leaders, including the U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, first responders, victims' families, Americans traveling abroad, and U.S. students attending Alexander Muss High School in Israel. Together, they will honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost in the 2001 terrorist attacks and pay tribute to the first responders who embody courage and sacrifice.

Ceremony highlights include:

• Presentation of the Colors by the United States Marines
• Remarks by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee
• Remarks from Jewish National Fund-USA President Deb Lust Zaluda, KKL-JNF Chairwoman Ifat Ovadia-Luski, and NYPD Chief of Intelligence and Counterterrorism Thomas Galati
• Performances by the Special in Uniform Band, a Jewish National Fund-USA-supported program for young people with disabilities, and freed hostage Dafna Elyakim, the Israeli teenager who survived captivity after being kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023

Established in 2009, Jewish National Fund-USA and KKL-JNF's 9/11 Living Memorial in Jerusalem is the only memorial site of its kind outside of the United States that lists the names of all the victims who perished on that infamous day and stands as a lasting reminder of the global responsibility to confront terrorism and hatred wherever it appears. Its striking 30-foot sculpture depicts an American flag transforming into a flame of liberty and hope. The memorial's base includes a piece of metal from the ruins of the Twin Towers.
