Jim Reynolds, M.D., Joins HealthFitness' Science Advisory Board

MINNEAPOLIS, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthFitness announces that Jim Reynolds, M.D., former chief medical officer at HealthFitness, has joined HealthFitness' Science Advisory Board. Reynolds had been chief medical officer at HealthFitness, overseeing the Research, Development and Outcomes division, from Feb. 1, 2008, until April 30, 2010.

Prior to working with HealthFitness, Reynolds served as principal and senior health care consultant for Mercer Human Resource Consulting, a global provider of consulting, outsourcing and investment services, where he served as a senior clinical consultant on Mercer's Health and Productivity Management specialty practice. He also served as vice president and medical director for CorSolutions Medical, Inc., a provider of disease management and related services to employers, health plans and government-sponsored health care programs.

Reynolds earned his Bachelor of Science from Drury College, an M.D. degree from the University of Missouri and is board certified in internal medicine. He is an active member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and the American College of Environmental and Occupational Medicine. Reynolds began his medical career in private practice as an internal medicine physician, and served as an associate professor of medicine at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics.
