Jim Somers Joins Relayware as CMO to Extend Company's Leadership Position and Market Presence in the Rapidly Growing PRM Market

OXFORD, England and JERSEY CITY, N.J., Jan. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Relayware, a global leader and provider of PRM and B2B collaboration and multi-channel communication solutions, today announced that Jim Somers has joined its executive management team as Chief Marketing Officer. Somers will lead the company's global marketing strategy, overseeing demand generation, product marketing, global communications, and corporate branding initiatives.  As the first senior executive to join in the US, Somers will also help accelerate Relayware's expansion into the North America market by setting up its US operations in Jersey City, NJ.

Long recognized as a leader in the Partner Relationship Management (PRM) market, Relayware raised $5.5 million from Albion Ventures in September 2013 to fund dramatic growth with additional sales and marketing resources. 

Somers comes to Relayware with over 15 years of experience in SaaS technology, marketing automation, mobile apps and cloud collaboration. Prior to Relayware, Somers spent over a decade in the mobile space as Chief Marketing Officer for Antenna Software, and VP of Marketing for Fiberlink Communications. Prior to that, Somers was Director of Marketing Services for marketing automation leader Responsys, where he founded and managed the company's marketing services organization.  Jim began his career in advertising as an Account Executive for Ogilvy & Mather and Lintas Worldwide, and also worked for AT&T as a Marketing Director in the company's Consumer Services division.
