Jito Foundation Appoints Jane Street Capital Veteran Thomas Uhm As Chief Commercial Officer

NEW YORK, April 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Jito Foundation, the organization that oversees ecosystem growth and adoption of Jito protocols under the direction of the Jito DAO, today announced the hiring of Thomas Uhm as Chief Commercial Officer. In his new role, Uhm will work with external partners to accelerate the adoption of the Jito protocol and its products by deepening relationships across the broader financial ecosystem—positioning the Jito Foundation for a future shaped by regulatory clarity and growing engagement from institutional market participants.

In that role, he acted as a key liaison between the trading desk and external counterparties, advising crypto-native and traditional financial institutions on strategy, infrastructure, execution, and market structure. He held a range of trading and business development roles during his time at Jane Street, spanning exotic options, ADRs, equities, ETFs, commodities, and digital assets, and assisted in opening the firm's London office.
