Jiuzhai Valley Hosts 2014 International Introduction to Tourism and Tourism Marketing Event
JIUZHAI VALLEY, China, Jan. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Ice Fall Tourism Festival at Jiuzhai Valley opened on January 12, 2014. As part of the Festival, Aba Tourism Bureau, Jiuzhai Valley Scenic Spot Administration and the local government of Jiuzhai Valley County co-hosted "Comprehensive Culture and Beautiful Aba" as part of the 2014 International Introduction to Tourism and Tourism Marketing at Sheraton Jiuzhaigou Resort. The 2014 International Introduction to Tourism and Tourism Marketing used PowerPoint presentations and marketing collaterals to promote the Aba region as an international tourism destination, already well-known for Jiuzhai Valley, rather than focusing only on individual scenic spots as before. Themed tourism itineraries as well as natural and cultural scenic spots for travelers who visit Aba either individually or as part of a large tour group were presented at the event. The event provided additional visibility to the natural scenery and folk culture of Aba by promoting "Travelling to Aba" as a destination brand and presenting a variety of tourism itineraries.
The local government delivered presentations on three key local travel and tourism operators serving the region during the International Introduction to Tourism and Tourism Marketing event. US-based PR Newswire and UK-based tourism agency Wendy Wu articulated the results of their cooperation with Jiuzhai Valley. The famed tourism destination's strategy of focusing on the US and European markets has gained traction, proven by its heightened international visibility thanks to coverage on media outlets worldwide.
Jiuzhai Valley inked a cooperation agreement with Wendy Wu and with the top two South Korean tourism agencies, Hanatour and Mode Tour, during the event. In addition, Jiuzhai Valley held the signing ceremony highlighting its cooperation with the world's well-known news providers including PRNewswire and recognized China's domestic tourism agencies' great contributions to the promotion of Jiuzhai Valley's tourism itineraries.
