AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Johanna K. Kenney is recognized by Continental Who's Who for Excellence in Content Development as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Technical Content Developer.
"Everi games are designed to stop patrons in their tracks by employing exciting concepts, dynamic artwork and thrilling game play," the company's website states. "Everi's Game Systems attract a broad range of players through TournEvent®, the award-winning slot machine tournament experience sweeping the nation, the New York Lottery racino system used at many top-earning U.S. casinos, and the Washington State video lottery terminal system."
Prior to joining the team at Everi, Kenney worked as a technical specialist for Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in the Trainings Support and Process Improvement division, as well as an LMS administrator for the United States Air Force. One of her most rewarding positions was as a Learning Systems Developer at the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) at Fort Sam Huston, Texas, where she used instructional design methods along with adult learning theories and validated research to find innovative approaches to integrating technology into enlisted military medical education and training.
Kenney holds an Ed.D. in Educational Technology from the University of Florida, in addition to a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Colorado at Denver. Before attaining her graduate degrees, she graduated from Eckerd College with a dual Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Women's and Gender Studies.

Her advice to those starting out in the industry is to "find something that you love and continually educate yourself." She states, "it is an ever-changing field and you must strive to keep up with developments. You have to enjoy learning and be willing to give that passion to others."
Outside of work, Kenney enjoys spending time with her rescue dog and traveling. She can be found donating her charity to breast cancer organizations and participating in young survivor's support groups such as the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls. A graduate of the National Breast Cancer Coalition's Project LEAD, she actively advocates for The Breast Cancer Deadline 2020.
