John Bailey & Associates Changes Name to Lambert, Edwards & Associates

TROY, Mich., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- After a year of working under a combined agency name, Metro Detroit-based John Bailey & Associates Public Relations (JB&A), a Lambert, Edwards & Associates company, will now simply be known as Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A).

Last year's acquisition of JB&A by LE&A created a single firm with offices in the top three metro markets in Michigan – Detroit, Grand Rapids and Lansing – and a client roster of more than 100 publicly traded and privately held clients based in 20 states and five countries.

"The decision to transition the company to the LE&A name is the next logical step as we continue to grow and expand our reach," said Jeff Lambert, president and managing partner of LE&A.  "As a company that specializes in communications, we need to ensure our own brand and message are clear.  We operate as one company, one team, and we needed to communicate that to our existing and potential clients."

JB&A founder John Bailey, who will continue in his current role as Managing Director of LE&A, added: "This is another step forward in the process of establishing the Lambert, Edwards & Associates name in metro Detroit and in our historically strong sectors like Automotive, Healthcare and regional businesses and non-profit organizations.  Our teams have been working and operating as one company for a year now, and it was time we reflected that in the marketplace."

Since the acquisition in July 2009, LE&A has added several new clients, including DTE Energy, Masco Home Services and the Detroit Regional Chamber.  In March, LE&A was named national "Small Agency of the Year" by PR Week.  In April, the firm was named one of the "50 Companies to Watch" at the 6th annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business event.  In addition, LE&A has recently added new management level positions to its Financial Communications and Consumer practice groups.
