John Hagee Ministries Holds 36th Annual Night to Honor Israel
To date, Christian ministry has donated more than $100 Million to Israeli and Jewish charities
SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Sunday, John Hagee Ministries (JHM) held its 36th annual Night to Honor Israel at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio. Christians United for Israel founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee, and former Congressman and retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Allen West, served as the event's keynote speakers.
West opened his remarks by acknowledging those in the audience who served in the US and Israeli armed forces and thanking them for their service. He went on to express steadfast support for a robust US-Israel relationship.
Hagee focused a significant portion of his comments on the current state of the Iran nuclear deal.
"Every American… should be applauding the efforts of President Trump to change the Iran nuclear agreement or cancel the agreement," Hagee said.
At the event's conclusion, JHM distributed more than $2.1 million in donations to Israeli and Jewish charities. The following organizations received support:
Afikim Family Enrichment Association, American Friends of the International Young Israel Movement, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Bikur V'Esras Cholim, Congregation Beth Yeshrun, Galilee Medical Center, Herzl Institute, Holocaust Memorial Museum of Houston, Just One Life, Koby Mandell Foundation, Nefesh B'Nefesh, Ohr Torah Stone, Save a Child's Heart, Shurat Hadin, and the Women's International Zionist Organization.
"Just as Christians teach our children the importance of being kind to the stranger, the widow and the orphan, so too must we teach them that Christians have a Biblical mandate to stand with Israel. As any parent will tell you, the best way to instill values in the next generation is to lead by example, and we hope that when young men and women see JHM's efforts to support Israel and its people they will take note and do likewise when they are able," said Cornerstone Church's Executive Pastor, Matt Hagee.
Since holding its first Night to Honor Israel, JHM has donated more than $100 million to Israeli and Jewish charities.
John Hagee Ministries (JHM) is an international Christian Ministry led by Pastors John and Matt Hagee.
