BOSTON, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- John Hancock took home four awards from the In-House Agency Forum (IHAF) at its recent Awards Show. For the second year in a row, John Hancock's Brand Communications & Creative Services group was the only entrant to win awards in each of its areas of expertise (print, video and interactive). That group was joined by the John Hancock Mutual Funds Marketing team, which took Silver in the Sales Promotion category.
"Once again, I am delighted to congratulate everyone in Brand Communications and Creative Services, along with our colleagues in the Funds Marketing area," said Jim Bacharach, Vice President, Brand Communications and Creative Services. "These awards, and the fact we were the only entrant to win in each discipline we entered, speak to the breadth of talent we have here at John Hancock."
"I share Jim's enthusiasm about this recognition," said Dan Rollins, Assistant Vice President, John Hancock Funds Marketing. "I'm extremely proud of the team we have here in Funds and their effectiveness supporting the business."
IHAF is the leading association of in-house agencies in the U.S., and the IHAF Awards are the only competition devoted exclusively to recognizing work by in-house agencies. This year's awards were especially challenging, with twice as many submissions as 2009 and competition from many leading financial services and consumer brands.
Winning entries from John Hancock included:
- The "Stepping Forward" work for the 2010 John Hancock Wealth and Insurance National Sales Meetings -- spanning design, video and interactive -- won a Silver award in the Multi-Media category.
- Mutual Funds children's-book-themed 529 College Savings communication, "Oh! The Possibilities," won a Silver Award in the Sales Promotion category.
- The "Flight to Quality" video took Honorable Mention in the Corporate Identity category.
- The "Growth Strategy" logo took Honorable Mention in the Logo Design category.
