Johnson Hosts Second Annual Women in Investing Conference

Bringing together top female MBA students to explore careers in asset management with leading firms

ITHACA, N.Y., Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Parker Center for Investment Research of Johnson at Cornell University will host its second annual Women in Investing Conference Nov. 17 and 18 at the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston. More than 70 female MBA students from 12 top business schools are attending. They will have the opportunity to network with representatives from leading investment management firms, attend educational panels on investment skills and practices, and receive expert feedback on their stock-pitching skills.

This year's keynote speaker is Eileen M. Dibb, CFA, portfolio manager at Pyramis Global Advisors, a unit of Fidelity Investments. Dibb is scheduled to present on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. EST. Dibb manages the Japan equity portion of the Pyramis International Growth strategy. Prior to her role at Pyramis, Dibb was vice president and regional analyst at Wellington Management Company, were she managed dedicated Japan portfolios.

Panel sessions will cover topics such as stock pitching and pitching skills, investment strategy in the current economic environment, tips to generate investment ideas, and how to conduct proprietary research.
