Preview Party Will Feature Gourmet Food Trucks, Karaoke and Music

COSTA MESA, Calif., Dec. 14, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The OC Fair & Event Center is throwing a preview party to give guests a slice of the OC Fair's first-ever New Year's Eve Block Party, taking place December 31. The preview party will feature gourmet food trucks, karaoke and music and will be held outside the Pacific Amphitheatre Box Office on December 16 from 6-9 p.m. Guests who donate a new, unwrapped toy (valued at $15 or more) to the evening's Toy Drive (benefitting Community Action Partnership of Orange County) will receive $5 off a general admission ticket ($20 with discount, night-of preview only). Parking and entry to the preview are free.

The preview party will feature a sampling of the gourmet food trucks participating in the New Year's Eve Block Party, including BACON MANia, Barcelona OnTheGo, The Burnt Truck, Calbi BBQ, Chomp Chomp, Crepes Bonaparte, Dan Dan BBQ, Louks To Go, The OC Food Truck, Piaggio on Wheels, and Rolling Sushi Van. Food truck fare is an additional fee.

The New Year's Eve Block Party on December 31 will offer live tribute band entertainment by the decade, a large gathering of gourmet food trucks, a taxi cab demolition derby and a pyrotechnic show for thrill-seekers. Block Party is from 7 p.m.-2 a.m.

General admission is $25 pre-sale ($35 after 12/19) and includes admission to the event and all live music entertainment. General parking is $10 ($20 for preferred). There are also combination packages that include an OC Fair 2011 Super Pass starting at $45. Additional charges apply for food truck fare, beverages and demolition derby. Group rates and VIP packages ($75) are also available.  Tickets and preferred parking are available on Ticketmaster.com.
