Jordan's Furniture donation to Cradles To Crayons will help over 3,417 children in-need get ready to learn from head to toe!

TAUNTON, Mass., Sept. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- From July 1, 2015 through August 31, 2015, all Jordan's Furniture store locations and the Taunton Distribution Center collected like-new and new clothes and shoes for children (infant to 12 years old) to go toward the Cradles to Crayons "Ready For School" program. And this past Friday, due to the generosity of their customers, a Jordan's Furniture truck pulled up to the Cradles To Crayon's Giving Factory in Brighton, MA and unloaded a truck full off hundreds and hundreds of donated items.  The Jordan's donation will help over 3,417 area children get ready for the school season, who are underserved. All donations will go to children in homeless or low-income situations, through partnering social service agencies. This will be the fourth year for the partnership between the retailer and the organization.

Cradles to Crayons was founded in 2002 and provides for children from birth through 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive at home, school, and play. Items are distributed to the children via social service agencies such as MSPCC, Horizons For Homeless Children, Head Start Programs, and more.

Cradles to Crayons is based in Brighton, MA where the donations are assembled by staff and volunteers for individual KidPacks.
