NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- American menswear designer, Joseph Abboud, announces his return to the runway to present his Fall/Winter 2016 collection during New York Fashion Week: Men's in February. This is Abboud's first fashion show since he's been reunited with his namesake brand and he will open the week as the first runway show presented. The Joseph Abboud Fall/Winter 2016 offering will be revealed on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.

In October the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced that after the success of the first New York Fashion Week: Men's in July, the second bi-annual men's week will begin on February 2nd and run through the 4th and will be held at Skylight Clarkson North. "We are excited to launch the New York Fashion Week: Men's shows in February with the return of Joseph Abboud," said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. "Joseph is an iconic American menswear designer. His presence adds a specific point of view and sense of establishment as we continue to grow NYFW: Men's."

Joseph Abboud, Chief Creative Director at Men's Wearhouse Inc. says, "With the continuous growth and focus in the U.S. of the men's market, I feel that this is the ideal moment to return to the runway during New York Fashion Week: Men's. The CFDA has created this herculean momentum around the American menswear industry and I am happy to be involved in this ever-growing and evolving week of men's fashion."

Joseph Abboud is devoted to being an authentic American Brand, and produces all tailored clothing at its own factory in New Bedford, MA.

Abboud is honoring the brand's unique Made in America position by collaborating with six fellow brands that manufacture and produce in the United States to include them in the Fall/Winter 2016 runway collection, thereby producing an entirely Made in America show: bags will be by Rawlings, made in St. Louis, MN; hats will be by CFDA member Albertus Swanepoel, made in Brooklyn, NY; ties will be by Barbara Blank, made in New York, NY; watches will be by Kobold, made in Pittsburgh, PA; shearling outerwear by Aston Leathers, made in Brooklyn, NY and footwear will be by Allen Edmonds, made in Port Washington, WI.

"All of us at Allen Edmonds are thrilled to be working with Joseph Abboud and his team on his first major runway show in 15 years.  I've personally been a fan of Joseph and his quintessentially American designs for over 20 years.  Working closely with him on this unique and impressive collection of shoes has been fantastic," says Paul Grangaard, President and CEO of Allen Edmonds.
