SAN DIEGO, Jan. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- JOT Automation Inc., a global automation company, announced today that it has moved its corporate headquarters for the U.S. to San Diego in the heart of Sorrento Valley. The team is led by Stefan Adolfsson, CEO of the Americas, and services the Americas from Canada to Latin America. Joining Adolfsson is an experienced sales and technical force located in Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Brazil. The team in San Diego will be expanding as it transitions manufacturing capabilities to the San Diego area in 2012.

Adolfsson is a 30-year veteran of engineering and entrepreneurship with technical expertise including robotic automation, production and technology innovation. Prior to joining JOT Automation, he was president of AD Pack/Norden, a Swedish company where he established operations in Mexico and the U.S. In Sweden he helped pioneer mechanical handling and robotics at SAAB automotive. He has worked in San Diego since 2003 as director of R&D engineering for local biotech companies Inverness Medical, now Alere, and Accumetrics.
