JSC Gazpromneft-Aero, Aeroflot Celebrate Increased Cooperation in 2013

The outgoing year saw a significant increase in cooperation between Aeroflot and Gazpromneft-Aero. As expected, in 2013 the total volume of "in-wing" refueling of Aeroflot aircraft carried out by the company - the operator of the Gazpromneft jet fuel business, will exceed 410,000 tons of jet fuel, up 18% from 2012.

This significant growth was achieved due to the company opening an alternative refueling complex (RFC) at Sheremetyevo International Airport in 2013. The Gazpromneft-Aero refueling complex at Sheremetyevo airport currently has the most up-to-date and environmentally friendly infrastructure in Russia.

In addition to Moscow, Gazpromneft-Aero refuels Aeroflot aircraft at its own refueling facilities at airports in Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Tomsk and at Bishkek airport (Kirghizia). These RFC have passed inspections by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and refuel aircraft without any restrictions.

In addition, Gazpromneft-Aero provides refueling for Aeroflot planes in partnership with direct suppliers of jet fuel in Belgrade (Serbia), Riga (Latvia) and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).

Aeroflot is interested in reducing the cost of jet fuel by diversifying supplies and finding the most effective forms of cooperation with suppliers. Direct supplies from Gazpromneft refineries can guarantee the necessary volume of fuel, as well as transparent pricing conditions for the carrier.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Gazpromneft-Aero occupies the leading position on the Russian jet fuel market in terms of retail sales. Gazpromneft-Aero is currently represented at 120 airports worldwide. The company's jet fuel business strategy calls for the further expansion of the international network of airports that provide Russian carriers with timely refueling and optimum prices for jet fuel.

According to the company's strategy, by 2025 Gazpromneft-Aero will increase jet fuel sales volume to 5.3 mln tonnes. The main fuel volume will be sold from its own refueling complexes, which will be increased to 58 by 2025. The global sales network will be expanded to 220 airports.
