With a career at some of the leading entertainment companies in the world -- Kabam and Lucasfilm -- Carvalho has unrivaled expertise building sustainable entertainment and technology businesses
NEW YORK, March 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Jump Ramp Games announced that Chris Carvalho has joined their advisory board. Carvalho has a long and successful track record of leading and advising companies at the intersection of entertainment and technology, and will bring his wealth of experience to Jump Ramp Games as the company fuels its ongoing momentum.
Carvalho is a digital media board member and C-level executive who has set strategy, enabled disruptive revenue growth, and maintained rigorous operational focus as an executive team member at some of the fastest growing and most iconic companies in the world, including Kabam and Lucasfilm. His deep background in media and entertainment, business development and operations will provide invaluable expertise to Jump Ramp Games as the company continues to disrupts the mobile gaming industry.
"I am very excited to join Jump Ramp Games' advisory board as they are scaling one of the most popular and engaging consumer entertainment models – mobile games and instant rewards," Carvalho said. "They have created an engaging casual game experience that keeps players coming back day after day. Brands today want new ways to speak directly with their consumers and they're able to do this via Jump Ramp's innovative placements."
Carvalho spent four years as Kabam's Chief Operating Officer, which grew during his tenure into one of the fastest growing and most disruptive media companies in the world. Kabam is now worth over $1 billion. Before Kabam, Carvalho spent over a decade at Lucasfilm where he served as the head of Business Development. His accomplishments included spearheading the growth of StarWars.com from a marketing site with no revenue into a profitable business. In addition to Jump Ramp Games, he is currently a board member of Performance Lab, a wearables startup, MaxPlay, a gaming tools and tech company, and ROBLOX, a user generated gaming platform with over 20 million monthly visitors.
"It would be difficult to find a more widely respected, prominent or visionary advisor who knows as much about entertainment and technology as Chris," said Jump Ramp Games cofounder Tony Vartanian. "We are thrilled that Chris is joining our advisory board as we continue to drive innovation for our brands and users and grow our company. He really understands our vision, and his appointment underscores Jump Ramp's success."
