Immersive career exploration experience empowers high school students to imagine their futures and build real-world skills
ST. PAUL, Minn., April 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Junior Achievement North is officially launching the JA Dream Accelerator, a new experiential learning program designed to help high school students uncover who they are, what they love and how that connects to career paths. The interactive experience will open at Junior Achievement North's St. Paul facility and is expected to serve up to 12,000 students annually.
The Junior Achievement Dream Accelerator brings career exploration to life through hands-on learning, storytelling and guided reflection. During the two-hour experience, students uncover their strengths, explore passion driven careers and gain a clearer understanding of the financial realities of adult life, all while building the confidence and skills needed to become collaborative, self-directed and innovative contributors after graduation.
"This experience gives students the opportunity for self-exploration and dream development," said Sara Dziuk, President and CEO of Junior Achievement North. "Whether they visit our space or we bring the program to them, the outcome is the same. Students leave with greater confidence, clarity and excitement about their future."
Throughout the experience, students participate in a series of interactive modules led by trained volunteers, including local professionals and community members. Designed to help students connect their interests to real-world opportunities, the Junior Achievement Dream Accelerator experience includes:
- Interactive, real-world scenarios focused on careers, money management and adult lifestyle choices
- Strengths assessments and career matching activities that help students identify passion-driven pathways
- Local volunteer and professional engagement, connecting students with real stories and career paths from their own communities
- Guided reflection and visualization activities that encourage students to consider their future goals and next steps after graduation
Curriculum provided before and after the experience helps extend learning back into the classroom and deepen the impact on students.
The Junior Achievement Dream Accelerator builds on proven success in Colorado, where the program has been fully implemented and well received by students and educators. Iowa and Georgia have also recently launched their Dream Accelerator experiences, joining a growing network of states expanding innovative career exploration programming.
For students, the impact is immediate.
"This experience is absolutely incredible," shared a participating Junior Achievement student. "You get to explore your options and find who you are. Once you do that, you can make decisions about what you want to do in life. It's a 10 out of 10 experience."
Bringing the Junior Achievement Dream Accelerator to Minnesota represents a significant step forward for Junior Achievement North, expanding how the organization connects students to their future through innovative, experiential learning. With support from founding sponsors and community partners, the long-term goal is to scale the program to reach thousands more students each year, ensuring more young people across the region have access to meaningful career exploration and inspiration.
