Just Dance 2015 For Sony PlayStation 4 Powered By SoftKinetic

BRUSSELS, Nov. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SoftKinetic®, the world's leading provider of 3D vision and gesture recognition solutions, today announced that its award-winning technology continues to power Ubisoft's popular Just Dance® game franchise for the PlayStation®4, including the newly launched Just Dance® 2015. SoftKinetic's robust 3D vision and gesture recognition tracking capabilities allow multiple players on the popular game using the PS4™, and allow those players to dance with each other or with VIP dancers through the game, competing and comparing scores.

"SoftKinetic's technology has been such a seamless fit for us on PS4™ that it made sense to continue to use it for our latest version, Just Dance 2015," said Andrew Davies, senior programmer at Ubisoft. "With each new version of our game SoftKinetic's technology has provided enhanced performance capabilities, allowing us to create all of the features and capabilities we desire. We are excited to continue to provide one of the most exciting gaming experiences on the market today."

SoftKinetic's Human Tracking Library (HTLib) has been optimized for the PlayStation®Camera for PS4™ allowing superior full-body tracking for up to four players at a time even with simpler stereo-optic cameras.  HTLib dramatically reduces development cycles by offering the ability to easily port existing games to the PS4™ using skeleton tracking and creating new innovative gameplays.

"We are proud of our long standing relationship with Ubisoft, and the success they've seen with their Just Dance game franchise for the PS4™," said Michel Tombroff, CEO of SoftKinetic.  "SoftKinetic's robust gesture recognition technology is a perfect fit for the lively and interactive group game play in Just Dance 2015, as well as upcoming exciting new games and experiences on the PS4™."

Just Dance 2015 is the sixth game in the best-selling franchise for Ubisoft. It contains over 40 tracks, with one additional free download upon purchase. Since the game was first introduced six years ago, Just Dance has become the best-selling music game franchise of all time with over 50 million units sold.
