JVC TV Joins NFL Alumni Association and Paul's TV for Charity
Retail Powerhouse Paul's TV to donate portion of JVC TV sales to NFLA Charities of Choice
NEW YORK, June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AmTRAN Video Corp. a leader in HD and Ultra HD TV design and manufacturing, has formed a benevolent alliance with The NFL Alumni Association and prominent retail chain Paul's TV to help fund and support a number of beneficial charities in the USA.
Members of the newly-formed alliance include AmTRAN, makers of the revered line of JVC HD and Ultra HD TVs, Paul's TV, a leading national consumer electronics retailer, and the NFL Alumni Association, whose charitable activities have touched countless lives in the years since its formation.
"We give a great deal of thought to ways that we can support many wonderful causes that need help. We had the idea to employ our excellent long-standing relationships with Paul's TV and The NFL Alumni Association. They were as enthusiastic as could be, and this initiative came together with amazing speed," said Drew Pragliola, senior vice president of sales and marketing for AmTRAN Video Corp.
The nationwide promotion will take place between Oct. 10-16, 2014. During this time, Paul's TV will donate 10% of all JVC TV sales to a charity to be chosen by the NFLA. It is estimated that during the course of the promotion, Paul's TV anticipates donating between $80,000 and $100,000 to the NFLA's charitable cause. In addition, five former NFL greats will be on hand to meet and greet customers in Paul's TV locations in Denver, Boston, Detroit and Los Angeles. Store locations will be revealed later this summer.
The genesis of the project was charitable at its very core: AmTRAN saw an opportunity to unite one of their primary dealers with a group (the NFLA) that does a tremendous amount of good throughout the country. The funds raised will help to support various NFL Alumni "Caring for Kids" charities including, Fuel Up to Play 60, the Boys and Girls Club of America, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
"Paul's TV strives to be a true member of every community we serve," said Babak Ghaznavi, President and CEO, Paul's TV. "Our communities support us with their loyalty and trust. The decision to donate a portion of our JVC TV sales to the NFL Alumni Association was perhaps the easiest our company has ever made."
"The NFL Alumni's mission is to serve, assist and inform our members to enrich their post-NFL lives. We care for kids and care for our own, enabling our members to connect with each other and contribute to the community through charitable programs," said Joe Pisarcik, president & CEO of the NFLA. "The remarkable generosity being shown by JVC and Paul's TV will go a long way to help fulfill our organization's mission. We are extremely grateful to these companies for their charitable spirit."
