IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- K1 Speed Inc., the largest operator of Indoor Kart Racing facilities throughout the U.S., announces the acquisition of Race Place Motorsports, Inc. (RPM Indoor Kart Racing), an industry leader in Sacramento, California. As K1 Speed welcomes the RPM Sacramento location, they believe this first-class location will provide a great new expansion opportunity for K1 Speed.

As part of K1 Speed's continuing expansion, this acquisition will be the 13th location nationwide and the 3rd in Northern California for K1. The Sacramento location will be switching from gas powered go-karts to highly advanced and environmentally friendly electric karts.

RPM in Sacramento has been an industry leader for the past 10 years and is passionate about the same things as K1 Speed. Offering a world-class facility with great customer service and attention to detail should provide an easy transition for K1 Speed.

The acquisition is scheduled to close on December 1, 2012 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
