K2 Completes Work on Incident Response With Claims Conference

NEW YORK, April 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- K2 Global Consulting has completed its assignment for the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (the "Claims Conference") working on its immediate response to a fraud carried out against the organization.

The Claims Conference, headquartered in New York with offices in Frankfurt and Tel Aviv, is responsible for disbursing compensation to Holocaust survivors on behalf of the German government. The Claims Conference discovered that a group of individuals had defrauded the organization out of more than $42 million by falsifying claim applications. The organization worked extensively with federal law enforcement authorities at uncovering the details of the fraud, which culminated in the arrest of 16 people in November 2010.

The work undertaken by K2 Global Consulting with respect to the Claims Conference's immediate response to the arrests, including providing both security and computer forensic services, was carried out between November 2010 and January 2011.
